Brightside points out 4 dangerous diseases that you can prevent by drinking coffee regularly.
Cirrhosis is a chronic liver disease characterized by replacement of liver tissue by fibrous tissue, scarring and the formation of neoplastic nodules leading to loss of liver function.
Scientists from the Mario Negri Institute in Italy have found that drinking coffee can reduce the risk of developing cirrhosis by up to 50%.
Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease
Some studies show that drinking three cups of coffee a day can reduce the risk of developing the disease by up to 65%. For Parkinson’s disease, your risk of developing the disease is reduced by 20% if you drink coffee regularly.
According to research, people who drink 3-5 cups of coffee a day are 3 times less likely to have cardiovascular diseases than people who drink other beverages.
Research also shows that there is no big difference between drinking 1 cup or 3 cups of coffee because such a small amount will not negatively affect the functioning of the cardiovascular system.
Joint disease and gallstones
Gout is caused by poor metabolism of the body and leads to the accumulation of various components in body tissues. In fact, coffee improves metabolism, so its regular use can actually prevent gout.
Certain substances found in coffee, such as caffeine, may reduce the risk of developing gallstones. Scott Gottlieb found that the risk of developing the disease can be reduced by 4% if you drink 4 cups of coffee a day and by 45% if you drink 5 cups.
